Synopsis
1944, Vermiglio, a remote mountain village. The arrival of deserter Pietro into the family of a local teacher and his love for the teacher’s eldest daughter will change everyone’s lives. This is the worst film I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s painfully slow and unbearably boring – literally nothing happens. Five people have left the theater, and honestly, I don’t blame them. The characters just sit there, doing absolutely nothing. I understand that it was meant to represent what life was like back then, but even then people had daily tasks and activities. But this film is just endless silence and characters lying in bed. That’s it – two hours of nothing. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. In fact, it could easily be used as a form of torture. I couldn’t wait to get home.
