Loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from a storage facility in Quebec; five people were sentenced to prison
Plot
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. The show deserves a higher rating; but cutting the season by 6 episodes just to make it 2 seasons was a crappy decision for whoever made the decision.
To name just a few: My Name Is Earl, Ash VS
How many times have shows not been renewed and have people who loved the show been disappointed? I can’t count on one hand how many shows I think are amazing but end up on an unresolved cliffhanger.
This entire story could have been told in a 10 episode season, but they’re dragging it out to give us 6 more episodes
The Evil Dead, and Last Man On Earth; but I could list MANY more (if only to meet the stupid 600 character requirement). The viewers who invest their time in these shows are the ones who get screwed, and that happens all too often these days.
