Plot
It tells the story of three very different families who compete to own the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Dennis Leary and Ray Romano both starred in the Ice Age series (from 2002). I was surprised to see the show rated as low as it is, but it made more sense since many reviews explained how they didn’t make it past the first episode. The show is a mystical, slow burn that may not be for everyone. I personally found it funny and entertaining with Lisa Feldman’s tone, which I love. I really like the cast and everyone’s performance. I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first because of my preconceptions (I couldn’t tell him from Everybody Loves Raymond for the life of me), but that changed pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own backstories, which creates a tangled web of chaos that gradually, though not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty invested in the story despite the main plot being developed very early on. I’m not mad about it though. I’d love to see more of this show and I really hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly, here’s a complete list of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
