Traditionally, a garter was a piece of textile fastened around the leg in order to hold up tights. More recently, a wedding garter generally is a small little bit of lingerie put on by a bride below her bridal dress. Garters could be made of virtually any color or perhaps material the fact that bride needs but are most generally constructed from white wide lace to match her bridal clothing.
